Nissan may not be among the top players in the pickup truck segment but the Japanese giant made a foray into the sector really long time back. It’s small sized Datsun 12 was well received but rival Toyota eclipsed it with Hilux in 1968. Since then Toyota has been a leader in pickup segment and Ford has also done reasonably well.
